Good morning, folks! :-)
I hope you have had a nice week and have a nice weekend ahead of you to look forward to. I might be returning to the karaoke scene after a long hiatus due to Johnny Law and our ignorant society but I’m trying not to be bitter about it. :-) I still don’t have a car so my venturing out will be thanks to a newfound friend who does have a car.
I’m listening to a very thought-provoking episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast featuring Russell Brand. There were some very interesting discussions in this episode including Joe questioning Russell, a self-professed recovering addict, about Russell’s reluctance to try psychedelics for fear of slipping back into destructive, addiction-related behavior.
Marianne Williamson is running for president in 2024. I think that’s a good thing. However, as usual, there isn’t a perfect candidate — nothing is perfect, probably — but I think she’s pretty damn good. Along the lines of imperfection, it seems as if she is not as humane regarding American Empire’s global hegemony (in particular our cold wars against Russia and China), Palestinian human rights being abused, and probably other things.
I will probably be adopting a second cat soon to be a companion both for myself and for Sammy, my two-year-old male cat who is sweet and playful and makes me bleed because I am the only living creature in the apartment who he has to play with and don’t have a kitty hide that can handle his claws and sharp teeth. I will either be adopting from the Humane Society of Longview, Washington, or from a friend. I will let you know how it goes.
I’m trying new ways to communicate with the world via blog and podcast. I resumed blogging at hourback.info on WordPress a few months ago and have been recording new podcast segments on Anchor.fm although I haven’t published them yet; I feel like I need to do some editing before publishing anything I’ve recorded. In the meantime I started recording on Soundcloud again but was reminded that they are stupid in their policy of removing recordings that contain anything that is like copyrighted material, such as my playing a David Byrne song in the background while I talk over it. If you think that is justifiable then you are a lemming. :-) No offense. So I’m resuming my brainstorming on creating my own audio and video streaming platform where I will not be bothered by these censors on social media platforms who are enemies of truly free expression, creativity, and innovation. (Google should never have gone public. Can you imagine how much more wonderful Google would be as it was, a privately held business??? Much like Twitter is now. I’m anxious to see how Twitter develops in the hands of less cowardly people.)
Finally, Substack is really cool and innovative and continues to roll out new features on a regular basis. One of them is the ability to have a chat rolled into a publication. I’m anxious to try this out so please feel free to chat with me on here and we can see how it works. Tell me how much you like, hate, or don’t care about this or anything else I’ve written, for example. :-) I yearn for feedback!!!
Talk with you later! :-)
